Suzuki debuts new 1.4-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine

Following the debut of the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine in the iK-2 concept (Maruti YRA precursor) at the Geneva motor show, Suzuki has now debuted a bigger 1.4-litre Boosterjet motor at the Shanghai motor show.

The company claims that the new 1.4-litre engine offers dynamic performance along with high mileage through its direct-injection turbocharged set-up. Designed using weight-reduction technology, the features have an optimised layout to meet size and weight requirements.

The new 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine will be first introduced in Suzuki models in the Chinese market, and then will be launched in other international markets.
