Skoda Octavia gets new Ambition Plus trim

Skoda has silently introduced a new variant for the Skoda Octavia. The new Ambition Plus trim fills the gap between the base Ambition and top Style Plus trims and is available in petrol automatic, diesel manual and diesel automatic versions. The prices of the new variant start from Rs 19.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Ambition Plus gets equipment such as automatic adaptive headlamps, stability control, front parking sensors, leather upholstery, passenger seat height adjust, SmartLink phone integration for the infotainment system, electric folding wing mirrors, cruise control, multi-collision braking, and rain sensing wipers. However features such as curtain and rear side airbags, parking camera, power adjust front seats and navigation remain available only on the top trim.

Interestingly, as per previous brochures, some of the above equipment was earlier available on the Ambition trim, but they do not seem to have been included in this trim with the addition of the new variant. The price difference between the Ambition and Ambition Plus trim is around Rs 70,000.

A new addition to the line-up is the introduction of front side airbags as standard, alongside the previously available dual front airbags.

The prices of the revised Skoda Octavia line-up are as follows:

    Petrol Manual
    Ambition 1.4 TSI - Rs 16,75,832

    Diesel Manual
    Ambition 2.0 TDI - Rs 18,66,068
    Ambition Plus 2.0 TDI - Rs 19,33,487

    Petrol Automatic
Ambition Plus 1.8 TSI AT - Rs 19,06,115
Style Plus 1.8 TSI AT - Rs 21,21,618

    Diesel Automatic
    Ambition 2.0 TDI AT - Rs 19,99,119
Ambition Plus 2.0 TDI AT - Rs 20,68,473
Style Plus 2.0 TDI CR AT - Rs 22,64,988

    (All prices, ex-showroom, Delhi)
