Mahindra is preparing to launch the facelifted XUV500 in our market. The Mahindra XUV has been on sale in our market since 2011.

As seen in the spy pics, the XUV500 gets most of the changes at the front. The new two-part headlamps get what looks like “L” shaped chrome inserts. There’s a new chrome grille and the area below the headlamps get chrome inserts as well. There’s also a new chin that consists of what looks like a faux aluminum skid plate which gives it a more of an SUV look.

Moving on to the sides, the only change visible on the updated XUV500 is the new 10-spoke alloy wheels which look sportier than those on the earlier car. At the rear, there are no visible changes except that the license plate garnish has been increased in size.

There is no news whether the updated XUV500 will get any mechanical changes or any changes to its interior. We expect Mahindra to launch the XUV500 facelift in May this year.
