Porsche Cayman gets Black Edition model

Porsche has added a Black Edition model of the Cayman to their line-up which features the standard Cayman, the 911 and the Boxster. The new Cayman Black Edition has been visually modified and comes equipped with a longer list of features as standard. These include  20-inch Carrera Classic alloy wheels, part leather upholstery, bi-xenon headlights, door sill guards with 'Black Edition' badging, aluminium side window trims, Porsche’s navigation system, an auto dimming rear-view mirror, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control.

Other upgrades seen on the interior include a sports steering wheel, heated seats, two-zone climate control and an upgraded sound system as standard. Similar to the Black Editions of the 911 and Boxster, the new Cayman features a black-on-black colour scheme with a choice between standard black and Jet Black Metallic exterior paint.

Mechanically, the Cayman Black Edition features the standard 271bhp 2.7-litre flat-six engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Porsche is expected to introduce the Black Edition early next year and will price it below its S, GTS and GT4 variants.
