    Updated Mahindra Scorpio gets refined six-speed automatic gearbox from the earlier model; available as 2WD or 4WD.

    New Mahindra Scorpio automatic launched at Rs 13.13 lakh

    Mahindra has launched the updated Scorpio automatic in two variants. The new Scorpio automatic gets the same six-speed automatic gearbox used in the earlier car. The unit by DSI, Australia has now been tweaked to improve shift quality. The refreshed Scorpio automatic comes with the 2.2-litre mHawk motor good for 118bhp and 28.55kgm of torque. Added features such as 17-inch alloys, projector headlamps, automatic climate control, dual front airbags and a height-adjustable driver seat are seen on this updated SUV.
     
    The Mahindra Scorpio automatic is available on the top-spec S10 trim in 2WD as well as 4WD guises. The Scorpio S10 2WD is priced at Rs 13.13 lakh, while the 4WD version costs Rs 14.33 lakh. The only direct rival to the Scorpio automatic is the recently launched Hyundai Creta which also comes with a
    six-speed automatic gearbox with 2WD. The Hyundai Creta diesel automatic is priced at Rs 13.57 lakh.
     
    Mahindra will also reveal official details of its upcoming U301 SUV on July 30, 2015.
