Honda's RevFest to be held on August 4, was to be the launch pad for a few models from the bike maker. But, now the website for the event has leaked details of the bikes that were to be revealed.
The information released states that two new motorcycles will be launched — the Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Honda CBR 650F. The other pair of motorcycles are the Honda CBR 150R and the CBR 250R, both of which will receive cosmetic upgrades and a possible, but minimal price hike.
Honda CB Hornet 160R: The CB Hornet 160R seems to be the Honda CB Unicorn 160’s aggressive-looking twin. From a single frontal image seen, the Hornet gets a shorter single-piece handlebar, masculine tank shrouds, a new headlight unit, and a possible new, aggressive-looking stubby silencer. Front suspension will be taken care of by a telescopic pair of forks. The Hornet is expected to compete with other motorcycles such as the Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 and the class-leader – Suzuki Gixxer , in the 150-160cc class, performance and naked motorcycle segment.
Honda CBR 650F: The Honda CBR 650F is equipped with a 649cc, four-stroke, in-line four, DOHC engine that’s finished in silver and produces 87bhp at 11,000rpm. Peak torque is healthy too, making 6.4kgm at 8,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, shifting in the universally accepted 1-down, 5-up pattern. The silencer sits neatly tucked under the engine, and is also finished in silver.
