Mitsubishi has announced the Final Edition of the Lancer Evolution X that has been on sale internationally since 2007. The edition is restricted to 1,000 units and will be on sale in Japan only.

Based on the Evo-GSR, this 5-speed manual-only edition gets a black chrome grille, 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, Bilstein and Eibach suspension bits, Brembo brakes, gloss black trim on the lower bumpers and model-specific emblems.

On the inside, it gets black leather Recaros with red accent stitching, along with a numbered dash plaque stating the model number.

The Lancer Evolution Final Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre MIVEC turbo-petrol engine generating around 300bhp, with power being sent to all four wheels.

The Final Edition will mark the end of the Lancer Evolution line with Mitsubishi rumoured to be looking towards a hybrid crossover to wear the badge of the next-generation Evolution.
