Maruti is working on a limited edition of the Swift called the Swift SP. Scheduled to launch during the upcoming festive season, the limited-edition Swift SP will be based on the base L trim (LXi and LDi) of the Swift.

Differentiating it from the standard L trim variant, the limited-edition model will see the addition of features and receive styling tweaks. On the exterior, the Swift SP will feature fog lamps, rear parking sensors, blacked out A and B-pillars, body coloured wing mirrors, wheel covers (the standard L model gets wheel centre caps only), and an SP badge on the driver's door. Inside, it will come equipped with an integrated audio system with four speakers, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, remote and central locking, power windows at the front and rear, and new seat and steering covers.

Mechanically, the Swift SP will be powered by the same 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines from the standard car.

The Maruti Swift SP is expected to be priced around Rs 36,000 more than the base petrol and diesel Swift.
