We had previously reported the likely recall of Maruti Swift Dzire models for a faulty fuel filler neck. Now the carmaker has officially announced a recall for 1,03,311 cars (42,481 units of DZire, 47,237 units of Swift and 13,593 units of Ertiga) manufactured between November 12, 2013 and February 4, 2014, to replace the defective part.
The faulty fuel filler neck could lead to fuel smell emanating and in some cases, leakage, if fuel is filled up to the fuel cap. Maruti dealers will contact the concerned owners and carry out the replacement free of charge. Customers can also check the company website www.marutisuzuki.com to ascertain if their car is among the above mentioned vehicles or get in touch with their dealers.
