Maruti Ciaz, Ertiga diesel prices slashed

Prices of the SHVS variants of the Maruti Ciaz and Ertiga have been reduced by up to Rs 68,000. The price cut on the diesel sedan and MPV is thanks to the use of the SHVS technology, which makes the cars eligible for a 12.5 percent excise duty, instead of the 24 percent excise duty levied on conventional petrol and diesel cars, as specified under the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP). Prices for the petrol variants remain unchanged.

 

The SHVS micro-hybrid system used in the diesel variants of the Ciaz and Ertiga comprises fuel-saving tech like an engine stop-start function and a brake-energy regeneration system. The system allows the Ciaz SHVS to deliver an ARAI-rated figure of 28.09kpl while the Ertiga claims a fuel-efficiency figure of 24.52kpl.

 

Both cars are powered by the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces 90hp and 200Nm of torque.  

 

The Ertiga and Ciaz diesel SHVS variants are now Rs 55,000 - 69,000 cheaper after the drop in prices. The revised prices are listed below (ex-showroom, Delhi):

Maruti Ciaz VDi+ : Rs 8.22 (Rs 8.82 lakh)

Maruti Ciaz ZDi : Rs 8.89 (Rs 9.53 lakh)

Maruti Ciaz ZDi+ : Rs 9.49 (Rs 10.18 lakh)

Maruti Ertiga LDi: Rs 7.08 lakh (Rs 7.58 lakh)

Maruti Ertiga LDi(O): Rs 7.14 lakh (Rs 7.65 lakh)

Maruti Ertiga VDi : Rs 7.74 lakh (Rs 8.29 lakh)

Maruti Ertiga ZDi : Rs 8.26 lakh (Rs 8.85 lakh)

Maruti Ertiga ZDi+ : Rs 8.66 lakh (Rs 9.28 lakh)

 

The revision in pricing is only applicable in Delhi.
