Maruti Celerio gets dual airbags, ABS as add-ons

    The option for dual airbags and ABS is available on all variants; Celerio CNG gets airbags only.

    Maruti has announced the introduction of dual front airbags and ABS as add-on options across all trim levels of the Celerio. The options provided are the same as those offered across all variants of the WagonR and WagonR Stingray, Swift and the Dzire. However, for the Celerio Green (CNG) the option pack only includes dual airbags.

    Until now, both safety features were available only in the top-spec Z(O) trim on the manual gearbox- equipped model with the lower Z-trim getting a front driver airbag only. This addition of dual airbags and ABS seems to be aimed at attracting safety-conscious buyers.

    “Through Celerio we have always tried to offer the best to customers. By offering safety features like airbags for driver and co-driver, and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) from the base variant onwards in Celerio, we are making it more attractive for customers. I am happy that we are able to offer these safety features on Celerio much ahead of regulations,” said R S Kalsi in an official statement.

    Maruti Celerio  VDi(O) - Rs 5,21,830
