Honda Mobilio to launch on July 23

Honda is all set to launch its first MPV in India on July 23, 2014. Honda dealerships have already started taking bookings at their dealerships. Customers can see the MPV and reserve it for a booking amount of Rs 50,000.

The Honda Mobilio is based on the same platform as the Brio hatchback and Amaze sedan. This will allow sharing of its parts among the three models, thereby helping Honda price the Mobilio competitively. At 4.4 metres, the Mobilio is considerably longer than both the hatchback and the sedan, and hence, translates into more space on the inside. The Mobilio will come with two engine options, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.5-litre petrol.

At launch, Honda is expected to price the Mobilio MPV around Rs 70,000 – 80,000 higher than the Ertiga.
