Honda has not altered any of the Brio’s mechanicals. The car carries forward as a petrol-only offering powered by the 88hp, 1.2-litre i-VTEC motor paired to a five-speed manual gearbox as standard with the top VX trim, additionally getting the option of an automatic gearbox. Unlike speculation, the car carries forward using the old five-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Despite the slow sales, Honda has priced the facelifted Brio by up to Rs 25,000 higher than the car it replaces. Prices for the updated Brio start at Rs 4.69 lakh for the base E trim and going up to Rs 6.82 lakh for the top VX automatic (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
