Harley-Davidson has just introduced the Breakout, the Street Glide Special and a new flagship for India, the CVO Limited. The three motorcycles will add to the existing 10 motorcycles already on sale here from the famous American cruiser brand.

    Harley-Davidson Breakout

First up is the Harley-Davidson Breakout, born into the Softail family. The Breakout, as its name suggests, is the rebel amongst the Softail family as it looks nothing like the regular Fatboy or its other editions. What binds the newest member to the Softail family, though, is the hidden rear suspension, which gives these motorcycles a rigid old school appearance, similar to the motorcycles of an era gone by.

What differentiates the Breakout from the regular Softail is it’s slightly aggressively positioned handlebars and sporty appeal which is not a usual Softail trait; they are usually relaxed cruisers. The massive 240mm rear tyre is the same as found on the Night Rod Special, lending it a very dragster-like appeal. The overall design and paint scheme is surely youthful and trendy, especially with its minimalist front and rear fenders. The new and unique Breakout is sure to turn heads wherever it goes.

The Harley Davidson Breakout costs Rs 16.28 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be the only one of these three bikes to be assembled at Harley's India assembly plant located in Bawal, Haryana.

    Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special

Harley-Davidson’s Touring family is finally making its debut in India. The sleek Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special is loaded with mechanical goodies, including a linked ABS braking system and the adjustable hydraulic suspension. The Street Glide Special also comes with a ‘Boom’ LCD display (infotainment system). Panniers fitted to the side are also part of this well packaged cruiser.

The Street Glide Special is priced at Rs 29.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), available at exclusive Harley-Davidson showrooms only.

    Harley-Davidson CVO Limited

Harley-Davidson has finally decided to bring in its Limited from the ‘Custom Vehicle Operations’ department or better known as the CVO family, hand crafted originals. The specialty of the Limited Harley-Davidson bike is its massive size. A control panel up front lends to the Limited’s cockpit-like feel. It has four clocks, a ‘Boom’ LCD display and two large speakers to keep you entertained, located in the massive front dashboard. A comfortable backrest enabled seat for the rider, and pillion backrest with arm-rests are a luxurious touch. Plus, there is a large batwing fairing and useful-yet-stylish luggage compartments on the CVO Limited, along with a host of other good features.

The Limited is Harley-Davidson’s new flagship model for the Indian market, and it certainly looks the part. The CVO Limited retails at Rs 49.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and is available at exclusive Harley-Davidson showrooms through India.
