General Motors and its joint ventures have showcased 37 production and concept vehicles under five brands at Auto China 2014, which opened in Beijing (April 20-29). Among the newest products on display are the new-generation Chevrolet Cruze, the Chevrolet Trax and new Cadillac CTS.

In addition, GM’s Shanghai OnStar joint venture is introducing new services for its local customers. “China is a priority for General Motors,” said Matt Tsien, GM EVP and President of GM China. “Our products and services on display at Auto China 2014 demonstrate our commitment to remaining an industry leader and a trendsetter in the world’s largest vehicle market.”

Buick The new Enclave SUV and the updated GL8 are among the 10 Buick vehicles being shown in Beijing. The new Enclave has updated styling, a refreshed interior, as well as additional safety features and power steering. Other Buicks on display are the LaCrosse, Excelle GT and Encore SUV.

Chevrolet Chevrolet has 11 models on display. It introduced the new-generation Cruze developed specifically for China, and the first model to be equipped with GM’s new-generation Ecotec small-displacement engines. There is also the Trax urban SUV equipped with on-demand all-wheel drive and the Chevrolet MyLink system.

Cadillac The Cadillac brand has four models on display, led by the new CTS luxury sedan. There is also the XTS luxury sedan with a range of new innovations, the sporty SRX, and the ATS midsize luxury sedan targeted at the younger generation of luxury car buyers.

Baojun Two new models from SAIC-GM-Wuling’s entry-level Baojun brand are making their debut at Auto China 2014. The sporty Baojun 610 hatchback is a sibling of the 630 sedan, the brand’s first model, which was introduced in 2012. The Baojun 730 seven-seat family vehicle was specially designed for growing Chinese families and small business owners. It provides excellent comfort, interior space and safety features.

Jiefang Three Jiefang light-duty trucks from FAW-GM are being shown at Auto China 2014: the F330, F330 refrigerated truck and S230. The F330 has been well-received by commercial vehicle buyers since its launch one year ago. The S230 is expected to become a strong competitor in the upper-medium light-duty truck segment.

GM has 12 joint ventures, two wholly owned foreign enterprises and more than 58,000 employees in China. Passenger cars and commercial vehicles are sold under the Baojun, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Jiefang, Opel and Wuling brands. In 2013, GM sold nearly 3.2 million vehicles in China.
