Fiat is readying a new variant of the Linea for the Indian market. Called the Fiat Linea Elegante, this limited edition will sit above the current Linea range sold in India.

As seen from the images, the Linea Elegante gets a prominent body kit with add-ons to its front and rear bumpers, along with side skirts and a subtle rear spoiler. There are small decals on the sides as well. The grille gets black inserts and the front bumper does without the chrome bits seen on the facelifted Linea sedan. These cosmetic tweaks give the Linea Elegante a clean and sporty look. The black roof and alloy wheels seen here are from the Punto Evo.

The cabin of the Linea Elegante will get a touchscreen infotainment system and a few alterations as well. There are no updates expected on the mechanical front and the sedan will be powered by the the familiar 1.3-litre diesel and the 1.4-litre T-Jet motor.

The Linea Elegante is expected to hit showrooms early August. Fiat will also launch its Abarth performance brand in India with the Abarth 595 on August 4, 2015. The Punto T-Jet Abarth and Avventura T-Jet are being readied for launch as well.
