At Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ pavilion, it was Jeep that took centre stage. However, Fiat also brought in two of its cars to the show; the Linea 125 S and the Avventura Urban Cross concept.
The Linea 125 S is a more powerful version of the Linea T-Jet that is currently on sale in India. It derives power from the same 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol motor that is now tuned to produce 125hp (123bhp), instead of the 112bhp on the standard car. Besides the increase in power, the car also gets a few changes made to its exterior and interior. On the outside, the car now sports 16-inch black alloy wheels, and in the cabin there's the addition of a new 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and leather seats.
The Avventura Urban Cross concept gets the hopped-up stance like that of the Avventura ‘Powered by Abarth’ hot-hatch. It is powered by the same 140bhp T-Jet motor found under the latter's hood, mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Both cars will go on sale in 2016. the production version of the Avventura Urban Cross will be launched in the third quarter of 2016 and will get the 'Powered by Abarth' moniker, unlike the concept that doesn't feature the Abarth badge. The Linea 125 S will be launched earlier around mid-2016.
Besides these two models, Fiat also has the Punto Pure hatchback on display at its Auto Expo stall.
