Fiat Avventura to launch on October 21

One of Fiat’s most-awaited models, the Avventura, will be launched on October 21. A crossover based on the Punto hatchback, the Avventura boasts of some mechanical changes over the Punto that give it the driving dynamics to back its brazen looks.

For starters, the Avventura has a ground clearance of 205mm; that’s well in the range of what capable 4x4s boast of. It also gets large 16-inch rims, and additions like a tilt meter and a compass will add to the crossover’s aura.

To be made available in both petrol and diesel guise, it gets the 89bhp 1.4-litre FIRE petrol engine, and the 92bhp 1.3-litre Multijet diesel. It will be available in three trims - Active, Dynamic and Emotion.

The Fiat Avventura is expected to be priced around the Rs 7 lakh mark, and will take on the likes of the Ford Ecosport, Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Toyota Etios Cross when it goes on sale.
