    Facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA begins testing

German automaker Mercedes-Benz has started testing the facelift of the GLA compact crossover. The car is expected to get minor changes in its styling, and there is no word on any major mechanical updates yet.

The test mule spotted testing wore camouflage around the head lamps and tail-lamps indicating that the facelifted model could get LED headlamps and tweaked tail-lamps, as on the facelifted A-class that was revealed a few months ago. The production model is also expected to come with tweaked bumpers.

Inside, the car could be equipped with a new 8.0-inch COMAND infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, it is likely that the car features a revised switch gear and a tweaked instrument cluster.

In terms of mechanicals, the GLA had already received upgrades internationally following the debut of the facelifted A-class. Therefore, the changes are likely to be very few.

Mercedes-Benz's facelifted GLA is expected to make its debut sometime in 2016.
