Famed Mercedes tuner Brabus showcased a four-door 850 6.0 Biturbo at the Frankfurt motor show last year - a heavily modified Mercedes S-class that it called the “iBusiness”. Now it’s got its hands on the two-door AMG version of the S-class, and so we have the 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupe.

The coupe’s 6.0-litre twin-turbo V8 is a heavily modified version of the Mercedes-AMG V8. This engine now displaces 6 litresinstead of the original 5.5 litres. Added to this are two Brabus turbochargers with larger compressor units and modified exhaust manifolds, resulting in a whopping 838bhp.

The company claims that torque has been electronically limited to 1150Nm to maintain the longitivity of the powertrain. This power is fed to the wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission mated to Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. A two-wheel-drive option will also be offered.

In the performance department, the company claims a 0-100kph sprint time of 3.5 seconds and 0-200kph of 9.4 seconds, with top speed electronically restricted to 350kph.

On the exterior, the 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupesports an aggressive aero kit that includes new bumpers with carbonfibre diffusers and an integrated spoiler on the trunk lid. Other notable changes include sports exhaust and goldenBrabusMonoblock wheels.

The interior features black Mastik leather with copper-coloured seams and piping as well as individual parts coated in the same colour as the wheels. The cabin also includes a black alacantra headliner and carbonfibre inserts on the dashboard and centre console, along with aluminium paddle shifters and illuminated door sills and pedals.

The 850 6.0 Biturbo Coupewill be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
