Volkswagen will showcase the updated Touraeg SUV at the Beijing Motor show 2014.

The updated SUV gets minor styling changes like larger bi-xenon headlights, new bigger grille and a reprofiled bumper. At the rear, the updates include a new bumper and a diffuser. Also new are the alloy wheel designs, and exterior and interior upholstery shades.

The Touraeg V8 diesel and hybrid variants sold in the international markets will be discontinued. The 3.0-litre diesel with 201bhp will be on offer and will come with higher power output of 254bhp.  Stop-start system will be offered as standard equipment along with low-rolling resistance tyres.

All models are fitted with a post-collision braking system and a coasting function integrated into the standard-fit eight-speed automatic gearbox. The car’s optional adaptive cruise control now includes a city braking function.
