To celebrate 90 years of Ducati, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is planning a 30,000km 120-day odyssey around the globe. As can be expected, the journey will start from Borgo Panigale, from where, the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro, the bike chosen for the trip, will head east. Crossing the Trans-Siberian route via Russia, Mongolia, China, and then Japan, hopping over the Pacific to the USA, the Enduro is expected to make it back home on December 15, 2016. Start figuring out how you could get leave ASAP!

Hang on, its not impossible, because the trip will be divided into seven stages, each of which will be completed by seven different riders. In its quest for the seven riders, Ducati is inviting applicants with a taste for riding, adventure and the written word, to help document this arduous, yet exhilarating run. Applicants need to be competent motorcyclists who are bloggers or travellers talented enough to talk about their experiences on both traditional and social media.

From the applications sent in, 14 will be selected to go through a rigorous evaluation of riding skills and psycho-aptitude testing under the supervision of a professional team that includes former Paris-Dakar racer, Beppe Gualini. Seven will be shortlisted for the trip on the new Multistrada 1200 Enduro and will get to ride on one of the legs of this epic journey.
