2017 Maruti WagonR VXi+ launched at Rs 4.69 lakh

Maruti has expanded its WagonR line-up to include a new range-topping VXi+ trim, featuring added equipment and styling in line with the Stingray model with a similar front fascia and rear styling.

Priced from Rs 4.69 lakh for the standard VXi+, the car gets the addition of equipment such as alloy wheels, dual-tone interiors, projector headlamps, and a new design grille and side skirts as compared to its lower siblings.

Powering the car is the same 1.0-litre K10 petrol motor as before with the unit paired with either a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT gearbox. Dual airbags and ABS continue to be offered as an option even on the new top trim model.

Prices for the new WagonR VXi+ are as follows:

The new top variant cost roughly about Rs 30,000 more than the previous top variant, the VXi.

While the new WagonR VXi+ features styling and equipment in line with the current Stingray model it is not yet known how it will affect the latter, with reports online suggesting that the more premium model – the WagonR Stingray – could be on its way out following this update to the standard model.
