2017 Lexus LX450d SUV prices revealed

Months after the brand’s official launch in India, Lexus has revealed prices of its range-topping SUV, the LX450d. The full-size diesel SUV is priced at Rs 2.32 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) as previously reported by us. The price places the Lexus up against the likes of the Range Rover.

Sharing its underpinnings with the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser, the LX450d is a five-seater only and comes powered by a 265hp, 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel engine good for 650Nm of torque and paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. As with the Land Cruiser, the LX450d is a capable off-roader.

The SUV comes packed with luxuries such as four-zone auto climate control, electric-adjust front seats and steering column, a 19-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system and dual infotainment displays for rear seat occupants to name a few.

The LX is expected to be offered as a diesel-only for now, with the seven-seat LX570, powered by a 5.7-litre V8 petrol motor, expected to join the line-up at a later stage.

The LX is now Lexus’ third model to officially go on sale in the country following the launch of the Camry Hybrid-based ES300h sedan and the RX450h hybrid mid-size luxury SUV.
