2017 Ford Figo S, Aspire S launched in India

    Prices for the Figo S start at Rs 6.32 lakh; Aspire S priced from Rs 6.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

    Ford has launched sportier iterations of the Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact sedan called the Ford Figo S and the Ford Aspire S, respectively.



     

     

    Available in both petrol and diesel versions in the Titanium spec, prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the sportier Figo Twins are mentioned below:

    • Ford Figo S 1.2 petrol: Rs 6.32 lakh
    • Ford Figo S 1.5 diesel: Rs 7.21 lakh
    • Ford Aspire S 1.2 petrol: Rs 6.51 lakh
    • Ford Aspire S 1.5 diesel: Rs 7.60 lakh

    Compared to the standard Titanium models, the Figo S is dearer by up to Rs 50,000 while the Aspire S is priced at a premium of around Rs 34,000 over the standard Titanium trim Aspire.

    Ford Figo S, Aspire S: What’s new?

    The Figo S gets new-look 15-inch alloys with 195/55-section tyres, blackened headlamps, a new honeycomb grille, two-tone paint shade, special decals on the exteriors and an all-black interior. The Figo S carries forward the same features from the Titanium+ variant of the regular car. These include ABS with EBD, front, side and curtain airbags, automatic climate control, SYNC infotainment system with voice controls, electrically adjustable and foldable outside mirrors, reverse wiper and washer, etc.

    On the other hand, the Aspire S gets the same 15-inch alloy wheel-tyre package; the wheels however are not painted black. The Aspire S also gets similar body graphics but comes with the same grille as the standard model. It however gets similar interiors as the Figo S along with the tweaked suspension.

    The Figo S and the Aspire S come with the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 100hp and 215Nm of torque, and the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine churning 88hp and 112Nm of torque, with both mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
