Me and My Cars: Cyres Mehta

    What are you driving?

    A 2016 RS7 with a Stage 2 engine tune and an upgraded exhaust. A BMW X3 30d M Sport and a 730Ld for regular use. I also have a tuned Kawasaki H2 with a power-to-weight ratio of over 1,000hp per tonne.

    What’s next on your wishlist?

Maybe the next-gen RS7 when it goes hybrid; you can’t drive a supercar on our roads.

What’s the most fun you’ve had in a car?

Launching the RS7 with all four wheels struggling for traction all the way through third gear.

Mehta also owns a tuned Kawasaki H2.

    Favourite / Dream money-no-object car?

    The Bugatti Chiron

Who is your all-time greatest motorsport hero?

Valentino Rossi for his ability to stay near the top for 19 years!

    Favourite road?

The A3 and A8 from Aschaffenburg to Munich. 350km with very few speed limits.

What’s on your automotive bucket list?

    1. 911 Turbo S Cabriolet

    2. Ferrari F8 Tributo

    3. Sitting pillion on a MotoGP bike with Rossi as the pilot at Mugello Circuit in Italy

What would you do with your last litre of fuel?

Drive until it runs out, since the car won’t be very fuel-efficient anyway.

Your ideal 5-car garage would be?

    1. Porsche 918

    2. Bugatti Chiron

    3. Rolls-Royce Dawn

    4. Bentley Bentayga

    5. Tesla Model S P100D

    What was your first car?

A 17-year-old Premier Padmini back in 1989. The radiator would blow regularly but the car would hit 105-110kph. Best part was that it smelt of petrol and vinyl seats, always.
