Q: I am looking for a car with comfortable rear seats, good thigh support and a comfortable entry and exit, much like the Mercedes S-class. Can you recommend a good diesel car in a budget of Rs 70 lakh to Rs 1.4 crore with features like a full-size spare whee, a comfortable ride, low maintenence and an adjustable suspension?  Anand Reddy, via email

AAA: There's nothing quite like the Mercedes S-Class for the job. It has the best ride quality by far, a full sized space saver and a flat and consistent ride which complements the superbly spacious back seat. There is no height-adjust suspensionbut the ground clearance of the S-Class is pretty generous for most purposes. Go for the S350CDI which will fit in your budget.
