New Maruti WagonR Stingray launched at Rs 4.09 lakh

Maruti has launched the new WagonR Stingray. 

 

The Wagon Stingray slots in above the current WagonR and is powered by the same 1.0-litre K10B petrol engine as the regular WagonR.

 

The Wagon Stingray’s front incorporates slim headlamps that house projector-beam units a flat front bonnet, slimmer chrome grille, all-new bumper with a bigger air dam and slightly restyled fog-lamp housings. 

 

While the side profile remains mostly the same, the Stingray gets unique alloy wheels in brushed grey finish. At the rear, there are new, slimmer tail-lamps with clear lens units, a new prominent chrome strip over the license plate with bold WagonR Stingray badging, and a rear spoiler. Five exterior colours are on offer, Midnight blue (new), Passion red, glistening grey, Superior white and, Silky silver.  Continued..

 

The interiors are all-black with a piano black finish in the new Wagon R Stingray as opposed to the dual-tone theme on the regular Wagon R. The instrument cluster also gets a blue theme unique to the Stingray. 

 

Three trim levels are on offer, LXI, VXI and VXI (O). The top-end VXI (O) comes with a driver airbag and ABS, power windows for all doors, electronic wing mirrors and a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The VXI variant comes with rear power windows, a rear wiper and de-fogger, adjustable headrests for the front and rear, keyless entry, integrated music system and grey alloy wheels. 

 

Maruti claims that the new Wagon R Stingray will return a ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 20.51kpl.
