Mercedes showcases B-Class

B-Class to open new Sports-Tourer category in India.

Mercedes-Benz India unveiled the soon-to-be-launched B-class at the Buddh International Circuit today. Unveiling the car, Peter Honegg, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “These are exciting times for Mercedes-Benz in India as we are about to introduce our first product in the new Sports Tourer segment with the B-class. We are very confident that the B-class, built on superior technology and exquisite design, will be well received by the Indian consumer and herald a new beginning of our product thrust.”

Debashis Mitra, director, sales and marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, commented: “Rapid globalisation and consequent outbound travel of Indians to the developed markets have given them a taste of luxury in adventure. This has sparked a demand for a luxurious adventure vehicle best suited for the youth of India. Mercedes-Benz India aims to tap into this demand with the B-class Sports Tourer. This vehicle will provide the highest level of a sporty experience, and is ideal to suit the tastes of the growing number of Sports Touring aficionados in India.”
