Automotive crackers this Diwali

It’s time to save up on the crackers and invest in your dream car. Here are the best deals we have found in this festive season.

Nissan Micra Maruti Alto, Alto K10 Fiat Grande Punto Skoda Fabia Honda City

Hatch a plan

Hatchbacks are where the action is and Nissan is pulling all the stops to roll-out as many Micras as possible in the coming weeks. The petrol models get a flat Rs 50,000 discount on every variant.

Maruti too is selling the Alto with a Rs 25,000 cash discount. The imminent threat from Hyundai’s Eon must be giving Maruti sleepless nights, which is why it is offering a further Rs 15,000 cash discount if you exchange your old car plus a Rs 3,000 discount for corporate buyers, totalling to a whopping Rs 43,000 discount on its best-seller.

And if you love Fiats but have been sceptical about buying one lately, this could be the best time to check out the Grande Punto. Fiat is offering a Rs 90,000 cash discount, insurance at Re.1 and roadside assistance for 50 months making it an irresistible deal. If you are seeking a warmed-up hatch, then the Skoda Fabia 1.6 is the best bargain. The Czech carmaker is offering a huge Rs 62,000 discount on the Fabia’s sticker price. The 1.2 petrol too has discounts ranging from Rs 29,000-54,000 across all its variants, offering plenty of car for the money.

Saloon time

Amongst the saloons, Honda’s City continues to be sold with a massive discount to combat the assault from the VW Vento and the Hyundai Verna diesels. Rs 80,000 off across the City’s variants make it one of the most tempting deals in its segment. Fiat is going one-up over the City with its Linea throwing in benefits amounting to Rs 1.30 lakh over the festive season. Ford’s slow-moving new Fiesta is being offered with an exchange bonus, free insurance and accessories worth Rs 50,000 on the Petrol models till the end of this month.

Affordable luxury

Luxury carmakers are also joining in the act. Skoda’s Laura comes with a massive Rs 1.48 lakh cash discount on its 160bhp petrol variants. Mercedes-Benz has knocked a huge Rs 7 lakh off the GL350 CDI’s price tag and Honda is offering the Accord with a free navigation system worth Rs 56,000 and free insurance worth up to Rs 63,000.
