Fiat unveils 500 in cool shades

Fiat has showcased its latest 500 by Diesel with a new colour scheme.

Fiat has showcased its latest 500 by Diesel with a new colour scheme and its second generation 1.3 Multijet engine.

Displayed at a show in Berlin, the shade of midnight indigo blue is a special body colour Fiat has given to its iconic 500 that comes with the 1.3 Multijet II engine producing a max of 95bhp. The Euro 5 compliant, second-generation turbodiesel 500 also features the Start&Stop system that provides better fuel efficiency.

The Fiat 500 by Diesel –  collaboration between Fiat and clothing brand Diesel – will be a limited edition model and will be marketed worldwide. The car was also showcased at the recently held Auto Expo, New Delhi and it was no doubt a head turner.

The Centro Stile Fiat (Fiat Style Centre) has worked with the creative team at Diesel to create a dark blue shade which resembles the denim used to make jeans. The new blue colour will join the shades of black and green already in the range.

The 500 by Diesel gets 16inch alloy wheels, yellow brake calipers and rear trim with imitation air intakes. On the inside it features the dark denim style fabric with yellow stitching, head of the famous Mohican on the gear lever knob and the specific satin chrome coloured dashboard.
