This September, Autocar India turns 17, and to celebrate this we’ve brought you a 425+ page collector’s edition! Inside, you’ll find an exclusive drive of the Renault Kaptur ¬– a more stylish big brother of the Duster, a track battle between the Lamborghini Huracán and the MV Agusta F4, our record-breaking Top Speed Run in the new Audi R8 V10 Plus and plenty more. Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store.

    Renault Kaptur - Exclusive drive

After the success of the Duster and the Kwid, the Kaptur could be the next big thing from Renault. It will slot above the successful Duster, and is more stylish, more luxurious, and is quite rugged under its skin. We spent a few days with it to tell you all about it.

    Indian Speed Record broken

After clocking 324.2kph at the BIC, F1 Driver Jaime Alguersuari became the fastest man on Indian soil. We wanted to go faster still to set the Indian Top Speed Record. A closed section of Hyderabad’s ORR, an Audi R8 V10 Plus and the skilled Aditya Patel allowed us to do just that.

Lamborghini Huracán vs MV Agusta F4

One’s got four wheels, the other’s got two. But the Huracán and the F4 share two things – they are blindingly fast, and they’re Italian. We put them head to head around a racetrack to find the wilder one.

New Toyota Etios facelift - Exclusive first look

Unlike the strong sellers from Toyota, the Innova and Fortuner, the Etios – the company’s entry-level sedan – hasn’t fared as well as expected. For 2016, however, Toyota has readied a facelift of the car. It’s safer, more upmarket, and a dash more desirable. Our exclusive first look tells you what’s new.

    All-new Audi A4

The A4, Audi’s highest-selling car in India, was past its prime and the carmaker really needed something special to put its sedan back in the spotlight. And that’s exactly what happened with the all-new A4. We took it for a spin to find out what makes it special.

    Aprilia SR 150

It’s quick, looks racy, and it’s got lots of attitude. Most importantly, it’s got a stunning price tag of Rs 65,000! With the SR 150, affordable Italian exotics are finally a reality, and we’ve brought you a test ride of it this month.

    Renault Kwid 1.0

The Renault Kwid shook the entry-level hatchback segment with its beefy styling, never-before-seen feature list and a stunning price tag. However, its 800cc engine made it a bit dull to drive. To fix this, Renault has plonked a strong 1.0-litre in it, which should make the Kwid an even better package overall. But does it?

    Old vs New: Ford Mustang

Ford has finally launched its most iconic product, the Mustang, in India. It’s the car that democratised horsepower, and to celebrate its arrival in the biggest democracy, we drove it alongside the 1964 classic to find out how the original pony car has evolved.

    Old vs New: VW Beetle

A Beetle from the present day and one from the '70s go on a pilgrimage of sorts to the Beatles Ashram in Rishikesh. We bring you the story of this one-of-a-kind trip where retro meets modern.

    Track day 2016

Our anniversary issue would be incomplete without us telling you about the best driver's cars and the best bikes of the past year. To find out just that, we got Narain Karthikeyan to test everything from a Maruti Baleno to a Porsche 911 GT3, while Rajini Krishnan blitzed the Madras Motor Race Track on the Suzuki Gixxer SF, the Kawasaki ZX-10 R and pretty much everything in between.

India to Cambodia in a Duster

Have car, will drive. That’s a view we subscribe to at Autocar India. This time around, the drive was a bit longer than usual. Well, 7,000km long – from Delhi all the way to Cambodia via Myanmar, Laos and Thailand in a trusty Renault Duster. Read all about the adventure in the magazine.
