This month, Renault makes a powerful statement with the unveil of its new global city car – the rugged looking Kwid. There are a lot of updates and facelifts that we’ve sampled too – the Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Elantra, Tata Safari Storme, Audi RS7, Range Rover Evoque and Jaguar XJ too. One of the most significant was the Tata Nano with an AMT gearbox, and rather than just drive it, we’ve brought along some competition too. All this and a whole lot more in the June 2015 issue of Autocar India.

    Renault Kwid

Can Renault make a mark in the cutthroat budget car segment with the Kwid? A crossover with the practicality and price of a hatchback is certainly an exciting formula in a segment where ‘plain jane’ is the norm. We take an in-depth look at one of the biggest small cars of 2015.

Tata Nano AMT vs Maruti Alto K10 AMT

With the addition of an opening rear hatch and an AMT gearbox, the plucky little Tata Nano is now closer to being the perfect city car than ever before. But could it really be better than that other budget automatic hatch – the Maruti Alto K10?

    Mahindra XUV500 facelift

The XUV500 receives a much-needed facelift after five years. And with improved exterior styling, it’s also been given better interiors, more equipment and a new top-spec trim. We’ve driven it to see what it’s like.

    BMW M3 and M4

The only thing hotter than a Delhi summer is a pair of BMW M cars, and we’ve spent one such summer’s day in the NCR with two of the latest – the M3 and the M4.  We try to pick our favourite of the two, but it’s hard when you’re having so much fun.

    Jaguar XE

The 3-series and the C-class will have some strong competition in the form of Jaguar’s talented new XE. After spending some time with it in Spain, we’re convinced the Germans will have some worrying to do.

    Audi RS7 facelift

You might look at the RS7 facelift and think, “That’s a nice set of headlamps”. But Audi has also given it a few interesting updates on the inside as well. And when the starting point is quite simply one of the best super-sports sedans around, it’s probably best to keep the winning formula unchanged.

    Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200

The AS150 and AS200 are the latest from Bajaj. Aimed squarely at the adventurous, the AS twins are fast, capable bikes with a greater ‘go anywhere’ ability than its sportier siblings can offer.

    Yamaha Fascino

This stylish new scooter from Yamaha is guaranteed to turn heads. But will it help Yamaha boost scooter sales?

    Motorsport

From Rosberg’s first win in 2015 in the Spanish GP, to Bernie Eccelstone’s most famous quotes, to the Mahindra Adventure Rally of Maharashtra, we bring you all the news from the fast-paced world of motorsports.
