About Mahindra & Mahindra

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) is part of the Mahindra group that has businesses across fields like finance, IT and hospitality. M&M is one of the two domestic car manufacturers and started out manufacturing the American Willys Jeep in India back in the 40s. Today the brand is well known for its SUV and MPV with multiple models on offer. Mahindra and Mahindra has manufacturing plants in India and a few overseas as well. Through the years Mahindra has had multiple partnerships with international vehicle manufacturers like Renault and Ford in the passenger car space.

Mahindra also manufactures all-electric passenger cars in India via a company called Reva that it acquired in 2010. The company is also the owner of South Korea's SsangYong Motor Company and Pininfarina, the Italian design house famous for designing many Ferraris.

In addition to passenger vehicles, Mahindra and Mahindra has a small presence in bikes, buses and trucks manufacturing, and leads a very successful tractor business.

The company has recently made big entries into international motorsports and Mahindra Racing participates in the FIM MotoGP World Motorcycle Racing Championship and the FIA Formula E Championship.
